The Very Rev. Prof. Mante was commissioned into the Ministry of the Presbyterian Church of
Ghana as a Pastor in June 1981. He holds an MA in Religion, MPhil and PhD in Philosophy of
Religion and Systematic Theology from Claremont, California, USA (1994). Currently, he is
a member of the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches (Headquarters in
Geneva, Switzerland) and member of the African Eminent Clergy Group of the All African
Conference of Churches (Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya).
The Very Rev. Prof. Mante is a Former Chairman of the Christian Council of Ghana; Former
Chancellor of the Presbyterian University, Ghana; Immediate Past Chairman of the Governing
Council of UMaT; Immediate Past Chairman of the Governing Council of Trinity Theological
Seminary; Former President, Trinity Theological Seminary where he has been associated for
the past 31 years. He has taught (and still teaches) Systematic Theology, Ethics and Philosophy.
He is a member of the American Academy of Religion (AAR); Served for 7 years on the
National Accreditation Board (now GTEC); Former Chairman of the Ethics in Research
Committee of the University of Ghana; Founder of the Adom Partnership International,
California; Chairman of the Board of Governors of Adom Foundation, Ghana, among others.
